To Whom It May Concern:

This letter is my personal recommendation for Carol Freeland whom I have known in excess of twenty years. I last had the opportunity to work with her several years ago in her position as head of the audit committee and a member of the Board of Directors for a mutual fund that I managed. In addition I worked with Ms. Freeland in her capacity as EVP of Financial Services Exchange (FSX). I found her to be consistently professional, knowledgeable, pleasant and dedicated.  

Besides being a joy to work with, Carol is a take-charge person who is able to bring different sides of issues together to create common ground. She successfully developed the due diligence and broker-dealer networks for FSX which resulted in that organization being the preeminent Broker-Dealer, Sponsor network in the country until her departure

Though she was an asset to the Board of Directors of the Mutual Fund as head of the audit committee, Carol was also extraordinarily helpful in other areas. In addition to using her financial background, Carol assumed a leadership role in meetings, and provided useful marketing advice.

I highly recommend Carol as she is a great asset to any team or organization.

I have known and worked with Carol for 5 years. While I served ACA as a member of its executive committee during that time, ending with my one year as its President this past June, Carol served as chair of the Asset Buyers Division for ACA. These responsibilities required our professional expertise and large amounts of volunteer time as we worked on leading the credit and collection industry. We worked on committees, task forces, strategic planning sessions, forums and workshops as coordinators and speakers at both the national and international levels. Carol has represented the ACA well during these experiences and has helped to increase the membership of the organization. She has worked with the international components including serving twice as a judge for the debt buyer of the year competition in the UK and as a member of the steering committee and a panelist for a conference for the Latin American industry. Carol is enthusiastic about her commitment to the association. Her work product is definitive and clear. She is articulate as well as being a good listener. She exhibits the quality of patience and has solid research skills. I am quite comfortable in recommending her in her role as consultant to the credit, debt purchasing and collection industry.
